I just bought these suspenders online from American Apparel for Ruby. They might be the cutest things ever. Now I think I (she) needs a white pair! It is a viscous cycle.

A Christmas Carol

Ok, I know I have been horrible at posting lately but it is a good thing. It means I have been super busy with my photography and playing outside in this 70 degree weather. It is NOVEMBER in Salt Lake City and unseasonably warm. We are taking full advantage of it. Today however... I have to admit, on this beautiful day we went to the opening of A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey. It was pretty entertaining AND pretty "spooky" as Ruby would say. I don't know what I was thinking taking her. She is not afraid of anything (except my brother in-law Tom... for good reason)! Usually, Ruby would be interested in a movie... but get little bored midway through and explore. Not this movie... her eyes were locked to that screen, through those little 3D glasses. I wish I had a picture, she looked so cute. Like I said though... this movie was very entertaining and Jim Carrey's performance as multiple characters was impressive.

tubes

“Tubes” are thing of natural beauty. I am so impressed by these adventurous photographers who, armed with a waterproof camera and perfect timing, were able to snap these incredible pictures. Cheers to them for "taking one for the team" and being pummeled by these waves so we could all enjoy these photographs.

This minimalist car called the Daihatsu Basket will debut at this years Tokyo Motor Show. I kind of want it. It is cute, quirky, retro and will definitely bring a smile to my face!

modern family

Next to Glee, Modern Family is my new favorite show. It is SO HILARIOUS. You HAVE to watch it. Since they are on at the same time... HULU is my saving grace.

These stairs in Wuppertal are awesome. Acrylic paint on 112 steps and each color expresses different emotion. How neat would it be to have more color and art like this in our everyday lives. Horst Glasker is the fabulous artist.

ON collectible tee's

USUALLY Old Navy's little boy stuff is not that impressive, while their toddler girls stuff is darling. Well... last night, I found myself way more interested in these fun tee's than any of the girls stuff. And they have almost all of these tee's in Men's sizes too! Is this the tomboy in me emerging, or am I a little baby boy hungry?? Who knows. And, NO I am not pregnant. I have a confession to make though... I bought the Spiderman one and the Chicago Bears one (with a matching one for Adam) for Ruby! I think I can girl them up a little with cute skinny jeans and darling shoes. Just you wait.

So... Ruby just had a fabulous birthday and I am thilled about this awesome gift. Don't you love receiving those things that you would never buy for yourself or your child... but it is somehow ok if it is a gift! I LOVE everything about these darling little jeans... especially the fact that they are not your usual blue denim. You know who you are.... THANK YOU:)

where the wild things are **REVIEW**

I am sorry to say that I was not a huge fan. I was BORED! I mean little tidbits were kind of cute and tugged at the heartstrings but overall... I did not walk out of the movie thinking... I LOVED it. It was slightly depressing....
And I know they are supposed to be wild creatures and everything... but they were kind of hard to look at... they were so hideous. I would have liked these costumes much better! I did think the cinematography was pretty incredible though. I loved all of these shots that were filmed into the setting/rising sun. It was gorgeous. Overall, I would not recommend you dropping a fortune taking your family to this flick. Wait until the dollar movies or rent this one!

I don't usually post stuff like this but I thought it was kind of funny/true. Is there something wrong with this picture??? I can't even afford a blackberry.

fyi... i want to brag because it is AWESOME...

I will be private jetting to Seattle with my sister and a few friends this morning... to meet up with another sister for lunch/shopping, and then back to SLC by 4:00pm!!! I can't wait. Stay tuned for the recap:)

Sometimes I feel like this is what the world is coming to. We will all be walking around with masks to prevent spreading sicknesses such as the H1N1 Flu. Hey... it it is what the world is coming to... we might as well do it with a little flare:)
